When you are number one in most of the surrounding counties in real estate, it seems that other brokerages get nervous and start “spreading” the word as a favor to all the local real estate agents. I guess they don’t want any agents to be homeless when the other shoe falls. Thanks, but no thanks. The Mt Airy Long & Foster Office is staying put and we don’t have any plans of closing our doors or changing the agreements that we have set in place with our agents. In fact we are always looking for eager and aggressive new agents that are tired of doing business the same old way.
If the only way I had to recruit agents, was to use scare tactics…I don’t think intelligent agents would be sticking around too long after they found out the “news” wasn’t true.
While these times are tougher than normal, we are not sitting around idly waiting for business to come to us. We have created multiple task forces to help buyers and sellers find each other. We are making our own future.
I guess the only real way to find out if the news is true, is to wait…
but I wouldn’t hold your breath… you might just pass out
Things I do know…
Regards,
Bob Carney

Mirrored after the Good Morning America story on the “Foreclosure Bus,” a few specially trained Mt Airy Real Estate agents created the “Bargain Bus.”
We are looking to educate and show interested buyers the real estate market around Mt. Airy. We have done our research on Short Sales and Foreclosures over the last few months and educated ourselves by area experts.
Please take a moment to see what prompted our task force to jump on the bus…

Your choices are limited now a days. The market has taken its toll not only on home owners but also the Real Estate industry. We have had an exodus of agents, mortgage lenders, title companies and so on in this area along with some of the local real estate offices. I can assure you that the Long & Foster office of Mt. Airy is open for business. We have some of the most experienced agents in the industry. (We are always looking for more too) Wes Foster has been in this business for 40 years and has seen this market before. He is always making smart decisions to stay ahead of the market trends. With that said…

Have a great day!
Bob

This blog is maintained and updated by the REALTORS® of the Mt Airy Long & Foster Real Estate Office. This blog will not only be about real estate related items, but also what is going on in the community. These agents are your neighbors, PTA members, Sports Coaches, Cheer leading Coaches, HOA board members, in other words they are experiencing the same problems and joys that you are in the community.
I have asked them to contribute to this blog as Real Estate Professionals and as members of your community. I hope you find it informative and entertaining.
I also ask that you participate in our community blog. We look forward to your contribution as well.
Thank you,
Bob
